Guest Corner: Gravadlax
Welcome to my new Guest Corner! I would love if you could contact me with any of your go-to recipes that are tried and tested and you want to share. And please remember to take a picture too. Here is my foodie friend Amelia’s recipe for Gravadlax and her thoughts on why it’s the perfect starter: It’s always a bit tricky choosing the right starter for a dinner party, especially if...

Spaghetti Bolognese
I think that if I was given one last day on earth, it would have to involve spaghetti bolognese (as well as lobster, crab, oysters, burrata, sushi and a curry, obvs). It really is one of my favourite things in the entire world. I tried out this less tomatoey Nigel Slater recipe about a year ago and it was fantastic. Ottolenghi Mushroom Lasagne
I had a vegetarian friend come over for X factor on Saturday night. He always seems slightly underfed so I wanted to make sure I cooked up something hearty and delicious. Sunday Brunch: Tomatoes and Eggs
This is a family favourite normally served for dinner instead of breakfast… but I was slightly hungover and had some over ripe tomatoes that I wanted to use so decided on brunch. It will definitely keep you satisfied until dinner. Take out the basil and add a pinch of chilli, some melted cheese and a tortilla wrap to give it a more Mexican flavour. Ingredients - Serves 2 4 eggs 6...

Lentil Salad
I’ve discussed my love of lentils before. Last night, I mixed them with carrots, celery, parsley and smoky bacon to give them a French twist. I served with rotisserie chicken and a tomato and dolcelatte cheese salad. Sorry there’s no photo - everyone (me) was too busy tucking in and drinking red wine that I forgot. Ingredients - Serves 4 - 6 as a side dish 400g puy lentils (or 2-3...
